“Leucadia 101 Main Street Mission: To support the Historic Leucadia North Coast Highway 101 Corridor by enhancing its economic and civic vitality, which includes promotion and marketing its vision, fostering partnerships, retail development and a ‘sense of place’ while acting as the lead advocate for its historic preservation and community cultivation through the engagement of all its citizens.”

The Leucadia 101 Main Street Board of Directors are dedicated to the Historic Preservation and Revitalization of Leucadia's N. Coast Hwy. 101 Corridor and provide valuable oversight in guiding the organization, and is actively involved in planning and implementing projects in the Leucadia 101 Main Street program area. These volunteers are elected by Leucadia 101 members and serve a three year term. The Board is made up of property owners and business owners in the Main Street program area, as well as Leucadia residents who are committed to and an advocate for the Main Street philosophy and the goals of the Leucadia 101 Main Street.

Nikolas Harth

President

Nikolas was born and raised in Leucadia. He has spent his whole life enjoying the amazing lifestyle that Leucadia provides, and now he believes it is time for to give back. Nikolas represents local business owners and brings a sense of inclusion for his generation to the Main Street community in an effort to create a greater unity in our community as a whole. Being a local business owner, he is invested in maintaining the lifestyle he grew up with, and the success of Leucadia for future generations.

Jeffrey Schade

As a sales leader, I offer a distinct combination of strategic sales, marketing, business development, and account management acumen in different categories and direct sales channels. I have proven success in improving retail operational efficiency, exceeding sales quota targets, and driving sustainable revenue, business, and account growth at regional, national, and international levels.

Established in 1974 Leucadia Cyclery has only had three owners in nearly 50 years. Our hometown shop is still serving the communities of North County from the heart of Encinitas with a wider reach to come soon! From road, gravel, mountain and e-bikes to commuters, accessories and quick tune-up times we can meet all your needs. Pro Service for the gear-heads and routine E-bike service on nearly all brands, we pride ourselves on quality service with a neighborhood touch.

Todd Derr

Secretary

Todd is the General Manager at the Leucadia Beach Inn (LBI) and Property Manager for Gold Coast Enterprises, owner of the Gold Coast Plaza. Prior to that, he was the Operations Manager at LEGOLAND California and also coordinated all aspects for the planning and execution of many LEGOLAND Golf Tournaments. One of his goals in 2012 at LBI was to bring more synergy to local businesses in and around our Inn, and he wants to use this model with the Leucadia 101 site. There are so many businesses that can work together to help drive business to each other’s store fronts. Spending the last ten years involved in this community, he has seen all the great things Leucadia 101 has done and looks forward to being a part of its future growth and impact.

Kevin Doyle

Treasurer

Trained as an Industrial Designer, Kevin has worked as a truck driver, an oriental rug salesman, a furniture designer, a screen printer and a computer programmer. In 2003 he and his wife Malin moved from Sweden to Leucadia and opened deepFLING Scandinavian Jewelry on Hwy 101. Kevin's been a member of our Board since 2005 and is active in our Internet and Graphics development. You can find him each year doing setup at the Leucadia Roadside Park for the LeucadiArt Walk. He tells us that he's most proud of the concrete stamps in our "temporary" sidewalks. Kevin also serves as a planning commissioner for the City of Encinitas.

Brian Grover

Board Member

Brian is a 17-year Leucadia resident and a local business owner. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Nolan Communities and has more than 15 years of real estate, planning, and development experience creating innovative communities and unique living experience for residents.

Brian joined the L101 Board to help support our local businesses in Leucadia, and continues serving in that role.

Peter Curry

Board Member, Economic Development Chair

Peter is a founding board member, and over the years, has served on various committees and in several capacities. He has been involved in the community since 1990 and is a commercial property owner on Hwy 101. Peter is passionate about keeping the character of Leucadia, while enhancing its many unique qualities.

Kyre Wilcox

Board Member, Promotion Committee Chair
Founder, BarnTime Music + Cadmus

Kyre has been playing bass in bands since 8 years old and he’s never lost the drive and passion for performing. Music has brought him around the world, but his gratitude for his home here in Leucadia has only strengthened over the years.

Kyre co-founded Barn Time music. For years, the Barn Time team has built and refined their studio to deliver rich, warm recordings at a fraction of typical commercial-studio costs, making professional production accessible to local musicians who need it most.

Kyre is also a co-founder of Cadmus Cultural Preservation with his childhood friends Andrew Ware and Zach Benavidez as an effort to preserve the past, present and future of our vibrant local culture. This non-profit organizaation supports local musicians, artists, writers, and cultural storytellers through hands-on programs that both preservetheir work and empower them to create more.

Brenda Dizon

Board Member

Brenda Dizon, is a business leader and entrepreneur based in Cardiff by the Sea, California. With over 30 years of experience living in the local community and more than a decade as a former board member and officer of Cardiff 101 Main Street, Brenda has become an essential member of the community. As the current owner of Corner Frame Shop & Leucadia Art Gallery, she utilizes her years of expertise in real estate finance to keep her business thriving. When you walk into her gallery, you’re guaranteed to receive warm hospitality from someone who understands the fundamentals of Main Street and always strives to better her community. Brenda is dedicated to Leucadia 101 because her husband was a founding member of the organization. 

Letha Sandison

Board Member, Owner Four Moons Spa

As the founder of Four Moons Spa in Encinitas, California, Letha has created a "Wellness Playground"—a place where healing, relaxation, and self-discovery come together. More than just a spa, Four Moons is a welcoming space offering a range of experiences, from traditional treatments and alternative healing therapies to workshops, events, and a carefully curated boutique. At its core, Four Moons is about building community and making wellness accessible and joyful.

Letha’s journey has been shaped by a love of travel, art, and design, and a commitment to creating a positive impact. Whether through wellness initiatives at Four Moons, her advocacy work with Wrap Up Africa, or her experience as a business consultant for newspapers and healthcare organizations, she has always aimed to uplift others.

Letha has had the privilege of sharing her experiences on global stages, including TEDx, the Clinton Global Initiative, the Livestrong Global Cancer Summit, Middle East Cancer Consortium and STARs Symposium. Her story and mission were also featured in the documentary "Opening Their Eyes."

Letha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and remains dedicated to using her creative vision and entrepreneurial spirit to inspire change, nurture community, and leave a positive mark wherever she goes.

Destiny Preston

Destiny Preston is a third-generation Southern Californian and proud resident of Leucadia. She owns an Encinitas-based small business dedicated to health and wellness, but her primary career is in transportation planning and environmental policy. She currently works as an Assistant Deputy Director for the California Transportation Commission. She previously led sea level rise planning for Caltrans HQ, following experience working for the Coastal Commission as a coastal planner. 

Destiny currently sits on the State Coastal Conservancy's Advisory Board working to expand beach access. She also serves as the District 3 representative on the San Diego County Community Action Board. She previously earned two bachelor's degrees from UC Berkeley and a master's degree from UCLA.
